Bethesda and Splash Damage’s multiplayer FPS Brink has entered the All Formats All Prices UK video game chart at No.1.

The UK-developed title managed to outpace LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean at No.2, itself developed in Britain by Traveller’s Tales.

Zumba Fitness is bumped down to No.3, but only saw a three per cent drop off week on week. Portal 2 is down to No.4, Black Ops slips to No.5, Mortal Kombat finds a new home at No.6 and THQ’s MX vs ATV Alive is new at No.10 – two third of all sales on the Xbox 360.

According to Eurogamer, 69 per cent of Brink sales were on Xbox 360, 23 per cent on PS3 and the remaining eight per cent on PC. The skewed sales are no doubt a direct result of PSN’s downtime, preventing gamers from getting online when Brink was released last Friday.

LA Noire hits stores on Friday and we fully expect Rockstar’s latest to storm to the top of the UK video game chart, although perhaps not with the same gusto seen by last year’s Red Dead Redemption.

Namco Bandai’s The Witcher 2 also hits stores for PC, but will a push for digital sales damage its chart presence.
