With rave reviews and great word of mouth, not to mention a well timed demo, BioShock has stormed to the top of the All Formats Chart in its first week on release. Released on Xbox 360 and PC, it’s the console version which notched up the majority of sales, accounting for 88% of the total.

This Xbox 360 dominance has seen BioShock become the second fastest selling Xbox 360 title of all time, behind Gears of War. The game accounts for 58% of all Xbox 360 Full Price unit sales this week.

Other new entries this week include Microsoft’s Blue Dragon for Xbox 360 at No.9 and MotoGP 07 from THQ at No.33. Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 re-enters the Top 10 at No.10 thanks to the newly released PS3 and PSP versions.

A plethora of new titles are hoping to assault the chart next week, with the most likely to break into the Top 10 being EA’s Boogie and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08, THQ’s Stuntman Ignition and NCsoft’s Guild Wars: Eye of the North.
