It may have missed out on Christmas No.1, but Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed is proving quite the hit amongst Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 gamers. In a week of sales drops, a 7% decrease for Assassin’s Creed was enough to climb one place, around 1,000 units ahead of EA’s FIFA 08.

Last week’s No.1, Call of Duty 4 is down to No.3 following a 37% decline in sales and is followed by The Simpsons Game at No.4 and Need for Speed: ProStreet at No.5. Nintendo’s More Brain Training falls two places to No.8, with the original falling out of the elite ten for the first time in nine weeks. Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training spent an amazing 34 weeks in 2007 inside the All Formats Top 10 – 50 weeks inside the Top 20.
