Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has confirmed a European LittleBigPlanet 2 Collector’s Edition set for release in January 2011.
The LittleBigPlanet 2 Limited Collector’s Edition features SteelBook packaging wrapped in a transparent outer sleeve. You’ll also get five PSN avatars and seven brand new Sackboy costumes:
– Disney / Pixar’s Toy Story 3′s “Alien” Costume
– Disney’s TRON: Legacy “Clu” Costume
– The Muppets’ “The Great Gonzo” Costume
– Even More Animals’ “Crocodile” Costume
– Even More Animals’ “Vulture” Costume
– Even More Animals’ “Cobra” Costume
– Even More Animals’ “Mandrill” Costume
In comparison to the rather great looking North American Collector’s Edition, our European set looks a little weak. For $80 US gamers get the game, exclusive DLC, a 7″ Sackboy plushie and LBP2 book ends.
SCEE product manager Alex Pavey explained the reason for the discrepancy: “Since there’s a wide range of cool LBP merchandise available across Europe, we wanted to give you the choice to take your pick from all that good stuff.”
