While this week’s chart doesn’t feature loads of exciting new releases, the battle for the top spot was fierce. The top four games were separated by less than 1000 sales, but Activision’s’ Madagascar’ won the battle, once again taking the top spot.

‘Worms 4: Mayhem’ on the PC helped move the game up the chart from No.25 to No.12, while ‘International Cricket Captain Ashes Year 2005’ became the third cricket title in the top 40, entering at No.32.

Next week’s chart isn’t likely to change too much, with the mid-August releases not being of the highest quality, but we’ll let you know how things shape up.
