THQ will show off its next entry in the UFC game series – not fitness spin-off UFC Personal Trainer – at E3 and it will “blow people away,” claims the publisher’s core games boss Danny Bilson.

“Saw a killer demo of UFC 3 this week,” Tweeted Bilson. “Will blow people away at E3.”

This is the first we’ve heard of the new UFC game since THQ confirmed a winter 2012 release back in October 2010. The game was billed as part of the publisher’s fiscal 2012 line-up which ends March 31, 2012.

With sales of UFC Undisputed 2010 deemed a disappointment to THQ, the publisher decided it would move away from an annual release schedule in favour of giving each new title longer in development.

UFC 2010 launched in May 2010, so we’d be looking an approximate 18-month development cycle for UFC 3.
