Ubisoft won’t prevent PC gamers from unlocking a 60 frames per second frame rate in the final release of The Crew, lead designer Serkan Hassan has confirmed to TechRadar.
The game is artificially capped at 30 frames per second on console and PC, but beta players found a way to modify the game to enable 60fps should their system have the grunt to go that fast.
“Ultimately the performance and the frame rate will be down to the player’s hardware,” said Hassan. “A few people in the closed beta found ways of unlocking the frame rate. My understanding at this moment is that we’ll be allowing players to do that come the full version as well, unless some other issue comes to light which would block that in any way.”
The Crew launches December 2 on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Xbox 360, and there’s a new customisation trailer for you to check out below.
