According to The Guardian SCi Entertainment, owner of Eidos, has received a takeover bid from Ubisoft.
The Guardian suggests that a move by Ubisoft is likely to create interest from other potential suitors, notably Time Warner which already holds a 10% stake in SCi, Electronic Arts and even Sony.
SCi was believed to be in takeover talks with Ubisoft back in October 2005, but after months of negotiations SCi revealed that they had come to nothing.
