Ubisoft has confirmed details on Year 4 of Rainbow Six Siege, with Operation Burnt Horizon touted as a 'fresh new beginning' for the popular squad shooter.

Season One of the game's fourth year kicks off with two Australian operators, and is complemented by the Outback map. Following on from this, Season Two will open the flood gates to another pair of operators, one hailing from Denmark and the other from North America. Instead of a new map however, we're getting a revamped Kafe.

This is a trend we'll see continue into Season Three and Four, with two new operators arriving alongside a reworked map.

Elsewhere, Ubisoft will be putting some attention into clamping down on team killing. If you're the type to indulge in friendly fire, you'll quickly find any damage you inflict on your mates directed right back at you.

Finally, there's a new bomb-only playlist in store that will feature three maps, specifically for those players who are between levels 1-50. Ubisoft is also planning on making the pick and ban system a permanent fixture in ranked matches.

Rainbow Six Siege was released on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One in December 2015.
