Ubisoft has announced it has signed a deal with Route 1 Games to publish a video game based on 2waytraffic’s international television show “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”.
The new title is in development for Wii and Nintendo DS and will join Ubisoft’s Games for Everyone line-up, aimed at expanding into the casual gamer market.
Fans of the TV show can expect an authentic experience with the show’s real-life hosts confirmed to feature in the British and French versions. The French game will feature Jean-Pierre Foucault while the British game will be hosted by Chris Tarrant.
Ubisoft is also promising plenty of questions in both versions of the game: DS will feature more than 1,000 while the Wii game is expected to ship with more than 2,000. Questions will be taken from a wide range of topics including music and tv, sport and general knowledge.
It’s also been confirmed that the Wii version will include a secondary game mode called Fasted Finger First. In this mode the Wii motion sensing technology will be used to slide answers around the screen against the clock.
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is scheduled for release on Nintendo DS and Wii in November.
