Ubisoft has revealed new information on its Uplay Passport program, an extension of the Uplay service, that unlocks online content in addition to offering rewards and community features for playing Ubisoft games.

“In each new copy of a Uplay Passport-enhanced game will be a one-time use registration code that, when redeemed, provides access to Uplay Passport content and features.” Ubisoft has explained. “The code can be found on the insert card inside the game box. Gamers can identify Uplay Passport-enhanced games by looking for the logo on the back of the box.”

Those that buy a pre-owned Ubisoft title can purchase a new Uplay Passport online for 800 MS Points or £7.99, which will then unlock the game’s online content.

The Uplay Passport will launch with Driver San Francisco on September 2nd.
