Assassin’s Creed launched in November 2007 and quickly established itself as a hit new IP, but fans have had to wait two years for the sequel which finally hits stores on November 20.
Speaking at Ubisoft’s quarterly earnings conference call last night, CFO Alain Martinez hinted that the wait for Assassin’s Creed 3 won’t be so long.
In response to an analyst’s question concerning the publisher’s franchise plans for 2010, Martinez said: “There might be something around Assassin’s Creed, and you mentioned that there will be a movie of Prince of Persia.”
Martinez didn’t offer any specifics, leaving his comment open to speculation on a full-blown sequel. some game-extending DLC or a spin-off on another platform such as Wii.
