Star Trek Online opened its doors to US gamers yesterday – the European launch is this Friday – but already Cryptic is populating its virtual store with new playable races.
From the off you can purchase the Federation Klingon race (240 Cryptic Points) and the Federation Ferengi (80 Cryptic Points). Each has race specific traits: Warrior and Honourable for the Klingon, Immunity and Acute Senses for the Ferengi.
Anyone who pre-ordered the game should have received some free Cryptic Points so the new races are as good as free, but should they have been included from the get go?
