Xbox 360 launch title Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, which also paved the way for future successful Xbox Live Arcade titles, is now available on Xbox One backwards compatibility.

First released at the launch of the Xbox 360 in November 2005, the game actually originated as a mini-game available via Project Gotham Racing on Xbox.

A direct sequel from Bizarre was released in 2007, but with the studio closing in 2011 a third game, Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions, was launched in November 2014 by developer Lucid Games for Activision.
