The month’s Trueplayerz event takes place in London on September 25th. The event was launched by British fashion label Joystick Junkies and is sponsored by UK Online. In order to raise money the event asks people to pay to play, with the winner of the tournament choosing which charity receives the proceeds.

There are plenty of prizes on offer to entrants as well, with the likes of Eidos, Capcom, EA, Atari and many more offering up goodies to be won. Top prizes on offer include FIFA 2006 iPod Shuffles, new release games from EA and one year 8mb broadband accounts from UK Online.

Those that enter will have the choice of what game to take part in including Burnout Revenge, FIFA 2006, Battlefield 2 Modern Combat and Capcom Fighting Jam. The day kicks off at 10.30am with on site registration for latecomers. You can guarantee your place by signing up online at Trueplayerz. It only costs £5 to enter the tournament or £3 for spectators (fees payable on arrival).
