Bithell Games has announced a release date for its upcoming puzzle adventure TRON: Identity – based on the iconic science fiction series.
The game takes place in an all new ‘Grid’ – away from those established in the prior films – that has been forgotten about by its creator. In their absence the programs have learned to survive and even evolve for themselves.

It’s here that an ‘unprecedented crime’ has been committed, and you’ll be playing as Query – a detective program who’s trying to piece together what’s happened – and who’s behind the crime.
TRON: Identity release date
TRON: Identity has been set to launch on April 11, 2023 for both PC via Steam and on the Nintendo Switch.
There’ll be two sides to the game – first off is the narrative-led interactive novel side, where you’ll meet a bunch of characters, travel to locations and make decisions based on branching choices.
These choices will have consequences, of course, and your decisions will lead to making new friends, making new enemies or even derezzing them.
The other side of the game will see you defragging Identity Disks using the game’s challenging and unique puzzle mechanics.
The game comes from Bithell Games – who’ve previously managed to put a uniquely interesting twist on solitaire in 2020’s The Solitaire Conspiracy – so you can expect some inventive stuff here too.
You’ll get to choose how you approach certain situations – with plenty of endings depending on the choices you make.
