According to data compiled by NPD Group (reported by Next-Gen.biz) two of this year’s most anticipated PC fist-person shooters have had poor opening month sales in North America.
EA’s Crysis sold only 86,633 units since its release on November 13, but this looks like a huge hit compared to sales of only 33,995 units of Midway’s Unreal Tournament 3.
Less than spectacular sales of Crysis can be attributed to the game’s huge hardware demands, making it virtually unplayable for the majority of PC gamers, while sales of Unreal Tournament 3 won’t have been helped by strong competition in the shape of Call of Duty 4, Orange Box and Crysis.
