Trials Fusion will render at native 1080p on PlayStation 4, but only 900p on Xbox One, Ubisoft has confirmed to VentureBeat.
In addition, B-Ten reports that the Xbox One version will require a day one update to boost its resolution from 800p to 900p. The patch will allegedly improve the frame rate of the PS4 version, too.
Both consoles are expected to run the game at 60fps.
The disparity marks yet another performance difference between the two consoles, and follows shortly after last week’s rumours that the Xbox One version of Watch Dogs could also output someway south of the PS4 version.
Will it ever end?
Trials Fusion lands on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 this Wednesday, April 16, with a PC release following on April 24. You can pre-order all versions from Amazon for only £28.99, which includes all DLC.
