Red Octane has announced the July 3 release of the Top Gun Anthem for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. The iconic, instrumental, guitar-heavy theme will be released free of charge for both Xbox 360 and PS3.
The song was immortalised in the early ’80’s action film Top Gun staring Tom Cruise and won a 1987 Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance. The song was played on guitar by Steve Stevens.
