Techland has said that it’s “too early to tell” whether Dying Light will run at 1080p/30fps on Xbox One – even though the game has “no more than two weeks left” in development.
Discussing the Xbox One version’s frame rate and resolution with GameSpot, a Techland representative said that it’s “too early to tell [whether the game will hit 1080p/30fps], but we’re trying to squeeze as much as we can from both consoles. Please stay tuned.”
The developer’s comments follow yesterday’s confirmation that the game will run at 1080p/30fps on PS4 – half the frame rate the developer was originally targeting.
“1080p/30fps is what we have right now [on PS4], it is what is constant, and what we’re sure we can deliver in the final product,” the representative added. “But the work is still ongoing, and even though we have no more than two weeks left, things can still change.”
Dying Light launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on January 30.
