Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend launched in Europe on April 7 and in North America on April 11. In the five weeks since its release the game has sold over 2.6 million units worldwide – a total that’s more than internal estimates had predicted. Already available on Xbox 360, Xbox, PlayStation 2, and PC, the game will be joined by a PSP version in June, with DS, GBA and GameCube versions following later in the year.

Legend’s success, together with several other key titles, including Hitman: Blood Money, which has seen strong pre-orders, has meant the SCi Entertainment Group is on track to achieve its target profitability for the year ending June 30, 2006.

We are delighted with the success of Tomb Raider Legend and look forward to the imminent release of Hitman: Blood Money. The product portfolio for the 2007 financial year is very strong and provides a base for continued profitable growth,” said Jane Cavanagh, CEO of SCi Entertainment Group plc.
