Announced in yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE is coming to the Nintendo Switch next year.

A collaboration between Nintendo and Atlus, Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE was first released on the Wii U in 2015, then received a Western localisation in 2016. It’s a fusion of Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei, with dungeon crawling and turn based combat through exploring Tokyo. To assist in battle, the characters call on Mirage spirits who are from the Fire Emblem series, like Chrom, Cain, and Tharja. Merging with the spirits makes the characters Mirage Masters, and solve the mystery of the evil energy threatening the city.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses has recently released, and Persona 5 Royal will come out this autumn. As the perfect blend of both franchises, it’s a good day to be a JRPG fan.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE will arrive on Nintendo Switch on January 17 2020. Watch the announcement trailer below.
