Macaulay Culkin is now apparently a video game producer, as he’s been named as executive producer on the upcoming 90s-flavoured platformer, ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove.

I guess it does make sense when you think about it. Culkin was a 90s child superstar, and ToeJam & Earl is obviously a very 90s video game series. Not only that, but the Home Alone actor is apparently a huge fan of the funky alien duo, and even said he’d rather play ToeJam & Earl than watch the Oscars.

‘ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove is a ‘90s styled blast from the past,’ commented Humanature Studios founder, Greg Johnson (via PST). ‘Macaulay Culkin, the star of the ‘90s classic Home Alone is an Uber Fan of the ToeJam games. He totally gets the vibe and humor of the new game, and his involvement has made the game even crazier and more fun.’

I’m old enough to remember the ToeJam & Earl games, and I played the s*** out of ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron back in the early 90s. It was awesome. Oh, and Home Alone wasn’t bad, either.

ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove is out tomorrow for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
