Codemasters has announced that the PSP versions of Colin McRae and TOCA will be joining the growing launch line-up for the PSP when it hits retail shelves on September 1st. Colin McRae Rally 2005 will feature all the game modes fans of the series have come to expect, including full three-hour championships. You will also be able to take part in 8-player wireless multiplayer races, with replays being sharable over the connection. The game also has a demo which can be downloaded to other PSPs so your mates can try the game out.

TOCA Race Driver 2 is pretty much the same as the PS2 version, but now supports 12-player wireless multiplayer action. In TOCA you get to race a variety of vehicle classes including Open Wheel Grand Prix, Super Truck racing, Rally, Rallycross, Ice-Racing, Formula Ford, Classic Racing, Convertible racing, Street Racing, Stockcar Oval Racing, GT Racing, Performance Cars, DTM and V8 Supercars. You can compete in over 30 championships spanning the globe, from Chicago to Europe on 52 circuits, including Laguna Seca and Hockenheim. As with Colin McRae, you also get a sharable demo and wireless replay sharing. Unfortunately, neither Colin nor TOCA feature single-game-disc multiplayer.

The PSP’s launch line-up of racing games is now looking very strong, with codemasters’ titles joining Ridge Racer, Wipeout Pure, Midnight Club 3 and Need For Speed Underground Rivals.
