Codemasters has confirmed today that the PSP release of TOCA Race Driver 2: Ultimate Racing Simulator (or just plain old TOCA 2), will be heading to the PSP during quarter 2 (which is between April and June). This is despite the fact that we Europeans still don’t even have a release date for the hardware itself. Still, you’d think Codemasters would have more of an inkling in that regard.

The game covers a number of racing disciplines over a variety of championships, and it is probably best left to the official press release to fully describe the depth of the title:

“See the most motorsports on PSP – new TOCA Race Driver 2 movie sets the pace!

Feel like a race gaming god on the go, as Codemasters lines up TOCA Race Driver 2 for a Q2 release on the PlayStationî Portable (PSP(TM)), complete with multiplayer racing over WiFI.

Get your motor running ahead of release with the new TOCA Race Driver 2 movie, exclusively running PSP footage, now available from: www.codemasters.co.uk/tocaracedriver2psp

TOCA Race Driver 2 brings the most motorsports in any game to PSP, complete with real performance cars, real damage, real physics, and real driver AI that adapts to suit your level of racing expertise.

Providing PSP petrol heads with the most diverse range of insanely fast motor sports ever seen in one game, including GT Sports Car Racing, Street Racing, Rally, DTM, V8 Supercars, Global GT Lights, Rally Cross, Formula Ford, Open Wheel Grand Prix, Classic Car Racing, Super Truck racing, Stockcar Oval Racing, Ice-Racing, Convertible Racing, and Performance Cars.
