Titanfall 2 players in the US will be able to gain “immediate access” to a new multiplayer mode by dining at restaurant chain Buffalo Wild Wings following the game’s launch on October 28, it’s been revealed.
Yep. Not just a skin (although you do get a new Titan Insignia for dining at the restaurant, too) but an entirely new multiplayer mode.
There aren’t any details on what the mode is, although it’s said to offer players “the chance to earn huge rewards – more than anywhere else in the game”. There have been some suggestions online that it could be a new 1v1 mode teased at the end of a new trailer released yesterday.
Codes offering access to the mode will be supplied to anybody who dines in or picks up a takeaway from October 28 to November 30, although we don’t yet know when the mode will be accessible outside of the promotion. We also don’t know how players outside of America will be able to access it, or whether EA has any plans to partner up with a UK chain.
“We’re excited to partner with EA and offer our Guests unique and exclusive opportunities to immerse themselves in one of the most anticipated releases of the year,” said Buffalo Wild Wings’ VP of guest experience and innovation Todd Kronebusch. “From exclusive game content to our partnership with ELEAGUE that brings e-sports directly to our restaurants, we’re listening to our Guests and embracing their passion for gaming and competition.”
