The highly anticipated Titanfall 2 Live Fire free update launches today, bringing with it a brand new game mode and associated maps, Featured Playlists, a new execution, additional Coliseum map, mixtape-style matchmaking, balance patches and more.

Live Fire is a fast-paced 6v6 pilot only elimination game type:

  • Each round gives players only 60 seconds to eliminate the enemy team or take control of the neutral flag.
  • The team that holds the neutral flag when the timer runs out wins the round regardless of how many players they’ve lost.
  • Knowing how and when to pick up the flag is a core aspect of the mode’s meta.

The included Stacks and Meadow Live Fire maps are designed around controlled sight-lines, choke points, and flank routes, with the goal to force players into confrontation and combat.

Respawn is supporting the update with a double XP weekend, which runs today through to Monday. The bonus XP is only awarded when playing in Live Fire mode.
