Namco Bandai’s Time Crisis is to make its PlayStation 3 debut later this with the release of Time Crisis 4, complete with an all-new Guncon light gun.
Players join operative Giorgio Bruno and Evan Bernard who must prevent a top secret weapon from falling into the hands of terrorists. The Guncon light gun is at the heart of the gameplay and now includes a dual analogue stick design, making it possible to control the character’s movement, change camera angles and switch weapons.
The advent of new HD displays brought compatibility issues with old-tech light guns, but Namco has confirmed that the new Guncon is fully compatible with high definition and standard definition displays.
New to the PlayStation 3 version is a new FPS mode in which players can play though five exclusive stages with new free-roaming gameplay. The game will also include numerous other game modes: Full Mission, Arcade, Crisis Missions and Mini-games.
Players will also have an upgraded arsenal of weapons including handguns, shotguns, grenade launchers and mounted machine guns.
Time Crisis 4 is scheduled for release in North America in November and expect a European release to follow, although no date has been announced.
