The game will include eleven of the sport's top pros, including Ian Poulter, Vijay Singh, John Daly and Luke Donald; Tiger Woods is of course there as well. You can create a player and then challenge the pros in the new PGA TOUR Mode. Here you have access to training sessions, practice, and the FedEx Cup, the new PGA TOUR playoff system.
On the PSP the game will include twelve Championship and Fantasy courses, such as Bethpage Black, Pinehurst No. 2, Cog Hill, Pasatiempo, and Fancourt Links. The PSP edition also includes the exclusive mini-games 'Shooting Gallery' and 'Putting Frenzy'.
For the first time on the PSP the game will include online multiplayer, so you can challenge the world's best players even if they're not sitting next to you on the couch. Local wireless play for head-to-head games will also be included.
The visuals have been given a boost with improved lighting, texturing, and mapping, plus a new menu system and tweaked camera. The game's character creation tool has also been given a bit of an overhaul with more clothes and speciality items available this time around. A sports title isn't complete without the customary commentary team, and Tiger Woods is no different, with David Feherty and Gary McCord providing their observations on proceedings.
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 07 is scheduled for an October release, and the PSP edition will be joined by versions for the Xbox 360, Xbox, PS2, PC and GameCube.
