EA today announced that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, the latest title in the No.1 selling golf video game franchise, will be released this June.

“No player has elevated the game of golf more than Tiger Woods and we celebrate his return with a game that recreates the atmosphere of the PGA Tour like never before,” said Executive Producer Mike Taramykin. “Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 continues the long-standing tradition of providing an authentic golf experience that is accessible to skilled and casual gamers alike.”

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 promises to take players “inside-the-ropes” to experience the drama and emotion of tournament golf like never before. Expanded crowds will surround every hole and a real-time weather system will ensure the in-game conditions match those in real life. A new TV broadcast style presentation has also been implemented which includes instantaneous updates and a new announcer team of ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt and the Golf Channel’s Kelly Tilghman.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 on the Nintendo Wii will support the all-new Wii MotionPlus accessory, promising to bring an “authentic sports motion” to your golf swing. This will include the ability to draw and fade.

This year’s 2009 U.S. Open course, Bethpage State Park (Black Course), will be available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PSP and Wii versions of the game. Additionally the USGA’s Rules of Golf will be available in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 for the first time in franchise history.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 will be released for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PSP and PS2. The game is scheduled to ship to US retailers on June 16. No European release date has been confirmed at this time, although we presume it will follow a few days later.
