Amazon has published the results(?) of a poll asking customers to name their most anticipated games of 2016. Problem is, almost a third of the most popular games don’t actually release until 2017.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Ghost Recon Wildlands and Mass Effect Andromeda all landed a top 10 position in Amazon’s poll, despite none of them actually being due to launch in 2016. Oops.
“We asked Amazon customers to vote for their most anticipated games of the year and you voted in your thousands,” Amazon said on its website. “We’ve heard the passion and the dedication to gaming in your comments and have assembled the official, Amazon customers’ top ten most anticipated games of 2016.”
You can check out the final top 10 list below:
- 10. Mass Effect Andromeda
- 9. Watch Dogs 2
- 8. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
- 7. Final Fantasy XV
- 6. Ghost Recon Wildlands
- 5. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- 4. FIFA 17
- 3. Mafia 3
- 2. Battlefield 1
- 1. No Man’s Sky
Of the three games out next year, only Ghost Recon Wildlands has a firm release date, launching March 7, 2017. Besides that, though, how does the list tie in with your most anticipated? Does it match up with your most wanted? Let us know in the comments section below.
Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Ghost Recon and Mass Effect are all due to launch in 2017, although Ghost Recon is the only one with a firm date, launching March 7, 2017.
