GamesIndustry.biz reports that EA DICE executive producer Ben Cousins has revealed at GDC Paris today that the studio is currently working on five titles in the Battlefield franchise.

“Since the start of this year I’ve been working as executive producer for the entire Battlefield franchise – we’ve got five titles in development at the moment, which is probably more than you expect,” said Cousins during his GDC keynote.

Two of these titles are the previously revealed free-to-play Battlefield: Heroes and the console specific title, Battlefield: Bad Company.

Three additional Battlefield titles are also in development, including a core game for consoles and collaboration with Neowiz to produce a game for the Korean market. Presumably DICE is also working on a new entry in the hugely popular Battlefield PC series of team-based online shooters.
