At E3 this June THQ will unveil core games not due out until its 2011 fiscal year, which runs from April 2010 to April 2011, company boss Brian Farrell has revealed.
Speaking during an earnings call overnight, transcribed by Seeking Alpha, Farrell also said THQ was ready to take the lid off three “exciting” titles intended for the Nintendo platforms.
He told investors: “As we look further out, again I really encourage you to come to our event and our booth at E3 because when you talk about incremental development dollars, you will see a couple of exciting new titles for fiscal ’11 and we’ll give you a little glimpse of what we are thinking about for fiscal ’11 and beyond that, E3.”
We suspect one of the games might be a third-person Warhammer 40k action game, heavily rumoured to be in development at THQ Australia.
Farrell added that THQ’s line-up for Nintendo platforms includes “innovative new titles and the return of some of our proven brands”.
We reckon one of these games might see the return of de Blob, the 2008 Wii platformer that performed well for THQ in terms of sales.
