Following its frankly catastrophic Pokémon Go Fest in Chicago, Niantic cancelled its planned European events. These have now been pencilled in for this month, beginning in Germany, France and Spain on September 16. New dates have also been announced for the delayed August events in Denmark, Czech Republic, Sweden and the Netherlands.
Niantic has announced on its blog that the Safari Zone get-togethers will begin from September 16 located at CentrO in Oberhausen, Germany, Les Quatre Temps in Paris and La Maquinista in Barcelona.
The four delayed events from August have also been rescheduled for October 7 at the Fisketorvet in Copenhagen, Denmark and the Centrum Černý Most in Prague, Czech Republic. These will be followed by Safari Zone dates on October 14 in Mall of Scandinavia in Stockholm, Sweden and the Stadshart Amstelveen in Amstelveen, Netherlands.
Folks who attend these events will be able to find special eggs from Pokéstops as well as lures, while ‘trainers can catch Pokémon together, including the likes of Kangaskhan, Chansey, Larvitar, and others. Trainers in the area may even spot Shiny Pikachu, Shiny Magikarp, and various forms of Unown!’. Pokémon Go players can register and reserve tickets at each shopping centre via their respective Facebook page, and registering will give the player a unique QR code. Those who plan on just wandering by the event on the day can still do so, with plenty of opportunities to find the featured Pokémon throughout the cities.
