Techland has released the opening cinematic for Dying Light, giving a brief overview of the events which set the game’s storyline in motion.
The 90 second video reveals the background for the outbreak in the city of Harran, which results in a political tug-of-war between Harran’s Ministry of Defense and the Global Relief Effort, a privately funded international humanitarian organization.
In the game players assume the role of Kyle Crane, an undercover operative sent on an infiltration mission into the quarantine zone established to contain the unknown plague.
Dying Light launches on January 30 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
