Nintendo has revealed a new range of knitted Yoshi Amiibos due to go on sale alongside Wii U platformer Yoshi’s Woolly World this summer.

Arriving on June 26, the new set of Amiibos is the first to be crafted with a soft woolen material rather than the hard plastic used to create existing figures, and will be available in three different colours: green, pink and blue.

Tapping one of the three Amiibos onto the Wii U GamePad will also unlock the ‘Double Yoshi’ ability in Woolly World, unlocking a second playable Yoshi and allowing players to reach new areas and collect additional items.

It isn’t yet clear whether the Yoshi Amiibo will be priced the same as existing Amiibos, but let’s not kid ourselves, we both want one.

Yoshi’s Woolly World releases exclusively on Wii U on June 26.
