Developer FuturLab is working on a video game adaptation of Peaky Blinders, the hit BBC crime drama starring Cillian Murphy.

Due out next year, Peaky Blinders will take place in Birmingham in the 1920s just like the show, and will apparently feature 'innovative' story design, allowing you to step into the shoes of multiple characters. It's described as a 'narrative action game inspired by the critically acclaimed, epic gangster drama.' Sounds about right.

'We are thrilled to be working with Endemol Shine Group on this unique IP. Peaky Blinders is at the top of my list of favourite TV shows and the characters and stories will now be transformed into an interactive experience. Can’t wait,' commented Curve Digital's Dominic Wheatley.

I've never seen Peaky Blinders before, but I'm told it's bloody good stuff. It must be, as the show has filmed its fifth season, which will air later this year. Time to binge the previous four series, perhaps?

The Peaky Blinders video game is due out on PC and consoles.
