Sega has re-released the demo of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life on the PlayStation Store after it was forced to pull the teaser offline earlier this month.

The original release of the demo had an exploit that allowed players to experience the full version of Yakuza 6, forcing Sega’s hand to remove it immediately. However, that wrinkle has now been firmly ironed out, and you can now only play the opening part of the game as it was originally intended.

The demo weighs in at a hefty 36.53GB as before, although Sega’s also made available a new PlayStation 4 theme that depicts various locations you’ll visit from Yakuza 6. It’s called Locations and is up for grabs free of charge.

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is due out exclusively for PS4 on April 17 following its Japanese release back in December 2016. Colm’s our resident Yakuza aficionado and spent quite some time roughing up thugs and chatting with the ladies in The Song of Life, so be sure to read his thoughts on the game here
