Blizzard has revealed the next playable Diablo III class – the wizard.
At BlizzCon 08 the mega-PC developer announced that the wizard, the third of five classes which will make it into the upcoming dungeon crawler, will resemble the sorceress from Diablo II.
In September, Diablo III lead designer Jay Wilson, told us that that the developer “can’t make everybody happy” with the classes and that fans will “hate” Blizzard when it announces the next Diablo III class.
The wizard will have area-of-effect magic spells, and, according to Blizzard, will be for players who enjoy playing the role of a “blaster cannon”.
As reported by GameSpot, technical game designer Wyatt Cheng described the wizard as “super ambitious, smart, and powerful. She’s the kind of person that would drop out of college to start a dot com.”
