CD Projekt has announced The Witcher Enhanced Edition will be released in the first half of September 2008, having slipped from the previously mentioned May launch.

The delayed release will ensure CD Projekt can roll out the enhanced game with all ten language versions of the game being polished and available at the same time. Enhancements will include reduced loading times, increased stability, improved English language text, 50 extra supporting-cast models, 100 new animations, reworked facial animations and lip-syncing and a re-designed user interface.

Additionally the Enhanced Edition will ship with a bunch of bonus content, including a making-of DVD, a bonus materials DVD (game editor and two official adventures) and a soundtrack CD.

Those who’ve bought and registered the original version of The Witcher will be able to download all the new content for free.
