The sequel to Nippon Ichi’s vibrant yet flawed action-RPG The Witch and the Hundred Knight will be hitting the US on March 27 and Europe on March 30, respectively. The PS4-exclusive outing was previously released in Japan back in February last year.
The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 opens up following the outbreak of a mysterious disease on Kevala, which targets young children. The illness causes a third eye to manifest on its victim, which when opened, turns the poor sap into a witch. The story focuses on two sisters, namely Amalie (who directly opposes all things witchery) and Chelka (the witch who emerged from Amalie’s sibling, Milm).
Once again, players find themselves in the boots of the eponymous Hundred Knight, a magical warrior who is able to mix it up in combat with five unique weapon types: Swords, hammers, lances, staffs, and spears. By switching things up, you can unleash various combos and take advantage of each weapon’s unique attributes.
Throughout your journey you’ll be battling across Kevala while protecting both sisters from harm. As the Hundred Knight, you’ll be able to grow more powerful with Facets and Tochkas, as well as forge new weapons at your safe house when not squaring off against foes in dingy dungeons.
