Psychological horror game The Town of Light is getting a Deluxe-flavoured Switch version this spring, Wired Production announced this afternoon.

The Deluxe Edition offers a bunch of extra content, including documentary goodies allowing you to find out more info on the game’s creepy hospital setting and its various patients.

In case you didn’t play the original release, The Town of Light is set in the picturesque region of Tuscany, Italy, and through historically-inspired events explores the treatment of mental health in the 20th century.

You play as Renee, a young girl who was a patient at Volterra in the 1940s who embarks on a journey of discovery seeking answers about her past, leading to a dark and emotionally-charged adventure that blurs the lines between storytelling and interactive entertainment.

‘We’ve been overwhelmed by the support The Town of Light has received around the world,’ commented Wired Productions’ Leo Zullo. ‘We are delighted to continue our journey with LKA and to bring The Town of Light, a game which has provoked valuable discussion around its subject matter, to an even greater audience.’

The Town of Light was previously released on PS4, PC, and Xbox One, although despite its interesting concept, the game ultimately flat lined on the operating table when Alice gave it the review treatment.Â
