The recently aired South Park episode “Make Love, Not Warcraft” has been taking the internet by storm. In the episode Stan uses a weapon called The Sword of a Thousand Truths to defeat “The Evil Man”, and it would appear that the massively powerful sword will soon be part of the real World of Warcraft.
The Sword of a Thousand Truths is intended to be a reward in the new Arena System coming with the new WoW expansion, The Burning Crusade. However, unlike in South Park, the sword won’t cause 120 DPS with instant mana burn and enchant of +80 stamina – it was, however, created based on the specification from Salzman in Blizzard’s accounting department, just like in South Park.
The World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade is currently in a beta test phase and is expected to be released for real in November, although this could easily change. We’ll have some impressions from the beta in the coming weeks.
