BAFTA award-winning teen Dan Smith has announced that his debut project, The Spectrum Retreat, will launch for PlayStation 4, PC, Switch, and Xbox One later this year.

Smith, who picked up the BAFTA gong for Young Game Designer back in 2016, has secured a publishing deal with Ripstone Games, who also aided him during the game’s development cycle.

The Spectrum Retreat evolved out of a concept demo that won Smith the BAFTA, and takes the form of a first-person puzzler set in a futuristic hotel. Your objective? Find out why you are staying there indefinitely and discover the origins of the mysterious location.

A release date for The Spectrum Retreat has yet to be announced.
