The Secret World will offer an immense amount of character customisation in terms of in-game clothing items, according to designer Martin Bruusgaard.
While some of these will be purchasable through vendors or alternatively the cash shop, some will be reward-based, he explained to CryGaia.net
“One thing I’m particularly excited about is the template deck outfits. Template decks are a set of powers that enable the player to fulfill a certain role, and this is comparable to Magic the Gathering starter decks. On completion of any of these templates the player is given an outfit that reflects what that deck is. So for instance if a player completes the ninja deck, he or she is given a ninja costume.”
The Secret World recently topped the Oslo Stock Exchange and saw its share price rise 227 per cent.
Unfortunately avatar customisation will be limited to only minor changes last we saw during the MMO’s first hands-on session in 2011.
