Funcom, developer behind the upcoming supernatural MMO The Secret World, is spending this week celebrating the game’s third faction: the Illuminati.

Illuminati week will feature a number of new pieces of artwork relating to the faction, a developer Q&A on Facebook, information, and a new trailer.

The developer question session will be held on January 15, however interested users can already begin submitting questions today through the “Questions & Answers” app on the page.

While The Secret World hasn’t had as much press attention as the likes of Star Wars: The Old Republic or the upcoming Guild Wars 2, developer Funcom recently topped the Oslo stock exchange and saw its share price rise by 227 per cent.

The Secret World is scheduled to launch April 2012.

This marks the third faction introduction week from The Secret World, following Dragon and Templar week. We recently got the chance to test out the Templar class in the game’s first hands-on preview event.
