If you’ve ever wanted to be a member of the SAS but were too lazy for it then this news is for you. Konami has announced plans to release its ultra realistic SAS title, The Regiment, for PC-DVD on February 17th.
The Regiment, an FPS with a strong emphasis on real-life counter-terrorism tactics, has profited from the advice of former SAS veteran John McAleese as the game’s Technical Advisor, ensuring realistic techniques are used.
Missions, although fictitious, represent realistic threats such as an attack on the Houses of Parliament and the Underground. You will also be able to take the game online allowing you and three other friends to tackle missions in co-op mode.
No word on the PlayStation 2 release yet, but we’ll let you know as soon as we hear more.
