The acclaimed strategy/adventure game has already been released for PC and Xbox, and will soon be making its debut on Sony’s handheld.
In Pirates, players take on the role of a pirate captain in the 17th century Caribbean, and attempt to amass fame and fortune to seize a place as one of the most revered and feared pirates in history. Players will explore the seas, take part in swashbuckling battles, and even take time to win the affection of royalty.
New to the PSP version will be wireless multiplayer for up to four players, widescreen graphics, new treasure hunts and more.

Sid Meier’s Pirates! for the PSP is expected to be in stores on February 23, 2007.
