A third The Order: 1886 behind-the-scenes video from Ready at Dawn, titled Tools of the Trade, has been released in which the development team discusses the creative process in providing the game’s cast with weaponry to defeat a powerful and ancient foe.

The developer says that the inclusion of Nikola Tesla in the game allowed them to ground many of the technological advancements in reality. Some weapons are based on existing technology in the Victorian era but others stretched the realm of what was possible at the time.

Commonly found guns include the Carbine, the Coach Gun and the Maschinenpistole, each based on technology of the era. The Arc Gun is inspired the power of electricity, while the Aluminum Iron Oxide of the Thermite Rifle takes its inspiration from possible alternate ammunition.

Despite creating weapons which were not of the time, every gun you pick up will feel grounded in the world of the late 1800s, says Ready at Dawn.

The Order: 1886 launches February 20, only on PS4.
