Overwatch’s latest seasonal event, Uprising, is now officially live until May 1. Uprising, which leaked a teeny bit earlier in the week, goes seven years into the past to a piece of Overwatch history.

As well as a new match taking place on the King’s Row map, there are a heck load of new items in loot boxes.

The Uprising loot boxes contain skins from when the team were fresh faced and hopeful, and when Blackwatch was still a thing, essentially catching the official game up to what fan fiction writers have been exploring for some time. The event also adds a bunch of new highlight intros, emotes and sprays themed around the Uprising event.

The official Overwatch blog post describing the Uprising says:

‘From now until May 1, you and three friends must journey seven years into the past, joining forces as Tracer, Torbjörn, Reinhardt, and Mercy to quell an uprising on the streets of King’s Row. A group of omnic separatists known as Null Sector has overwhelmed the area, and you must defeat the robots to liberate the city. The future depends on you.’

Blizzard says it’s also unlocking more Overwatch lore on the game’s social media channels.
